In the afternoon of April 2, a maple tree distribution event was successfully held in the Fudan International Students Dormitory. More than two hundred maple seedlings cultivated by Thomas Mattei, a French student from Fudan University, were successfully distributed to Chinese and international teachers and students with the help of international student volunteers.
At the event, students and teachers received planting instructions along with maple-leaf shaped wish cards and pressed their handprints to leave their good wishes.
The students also experienced on-site transplanting and cultivation of saplings under the guidance of a master gardener.
In early March this year, after receiving Thomas's proposal, the International Students Office actively carried out publicity and preparations for the event, and received strong support from the General Affairs Office of the university in many aspects, such as procurement of materials, transportation and cultivation, and on-site distribution.
Now, these saplings will start their growing journey. Let's look forward to witnessing these Fudan maple saplings grow up, and we also hope that some of them will be planted into the soil of Fudan campus in the future, so as to pass on, continue and extend the friendship of French students to Fudan.
