To ensure the safety of international students during their stay in China, and in accordance with the regulations issued by the Chinese Ministry of Education, long-term international students are required to purchase the mandatory “Foreign Students Overall Insurance.” The basic insurance fee for long-term students is RMB 400 every 6 months and RMB 800 per year. Long-term students are those who will be studying for one semester or longer.

Short-term international students are not required to purchase the “Foreign Students Overall Insurance,” provided that they have already purchased a similar insurance.
